How billing works
One price per organization
A plan costs the same however many people use it. Inviting or removing a member never changes your bill. Each plan includes a number of members — open invitations count towards it — and once you reach it, inviting someone else means moving to a larger plan.
Monthly or yearly billing
Every paid plan can be billed monthly or yearly, and yearly costs less per month — the switch on the pricing page shows by how much. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time on either: an upgrade takes effect immediately, a downgrade at the end of the period you have already paid for — see below.
Payments via Stripe
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. Invoices are available in your organization settings.
Upgrading
The plan and the payment method belong to the organization, so changing them is the Owner's to do. Maintainers, Translators and Viewers can read the prices but not buy a plan — the pricing page says so if you try.
Go to Organization Settings
Click your organization name in the sidebar, then select Organization Settings.
Choose a plan
Select the plan you want. You'll be redirected to Stripe to complete the payment.
Features unlock immediately
After payment, your new plan limits and features are active instantly. No restart needed.
Managing your subscription
See what a plan change would do
Above the usage bars in the billing tab, pick any plan to measure what your organization holds against its limits. A bar over the limit turns red and says by how much. On a lower plan the tab lists what stops working, with your own numbers, such as how many active API keys would be refused; on a higher one, how much room you gain and which features come with it. Picking a plan changes nothing. While a plan is unlocked for you until a date, the plan that applies after it is one of the choices. The button below the comparison takes you straight to that change: with a subscription, Stripe opens on the confirmation of the new plan at your current billing interval, with the prorated amount, or on the cancellation if you picked Free; without one, it opens the monthly checkout for that plan, where you can still switch to yearly before you pay. Either way Stripe brings you back to the billing tab.
Downgrade
Switch to a lower plan from Organization Settings. The downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Nothing is deleted and nobody is removed from your team. If you have more users than the lower plan includes — members and open invitations together — everyone keeps their access, but nobody new can join: you cannot send invitations, and an invitation sent before the downgrade cannot be accepted until you are back within the limit. Cancel open invitations or remove members to get there. Projects, keys and languages work the same way: what you have stays, and you add more once you are under the limit. Features the lower plan does not include stop when it starts: API keys are refused, including the sync script in your pipeline; nobody can approve or reject translations, so a merge no longer waits for approvals; and no new branches can be opened, while the ones you have can still be edited and merged.
Switch between monthly and yearly
On your first checkout, Stripe offers yearly billing beside the monthly price you opened it with, so you can switch there without going back. After that, change the interval in the billing portal, reachable from Organization Settings. Moving to yearly starts a new yearly period that day, and the unused part of the current month is credited against it. Moving back to monthly takes effect when the year you have paid for ends.
Upgrade during a yearly plan
An upgrade is active straight away, and you are charged the difference for the rest of the year you have already paid for — not a second full year.
Cancel
Cancel anytime from Organization Settings. Paid features stay active until the end of the current billing period, then your organization reverts to the Free plan. On a yearly plan that is the end of the year you paid for; the rest of it is not refunded.
Invoices
Past invoices and payment methods are managed through the Stripe customer portal, accessible from Organization Settings.
