Tutorial

Get started as a translator

You have been invited to translate: accept the invitation, find what is still missing in your language, read what the team wrote about a key and write your first value. Each step shows what the screen looks like when it is done.

  1. Step 01

    Create your account

Open the link in the invitation mail, enter your name and a password and click Create account — the address is the invited one, and the account joins the organization as it is created.

  2. Step 02

    Open the project

Open Example Shop from your projects — the German card shows how much is still to translate, and what you can do there is what the Translator role allows.

  3. Step 03

    Filter to Missing

Open German with Translate and choose Missing in the filter — what is left in the key tree is your work.

  4. Step 04

    Read the key’s context

Click shop.cart.freeShipping and read what sits around the empty field before you type: the description, the character limit and the comment from the team.

  5. Step 05

    Type the translation

Type the German value into the field — there is no save button, it is written half a second after you stop typing.
